Job Overview

The Relationship Sales group within Prime Services is responsible for the overall client experience. The Relationship Sales role encompasses the following primary components: defending and driving organic growth, responsibility for overall client satisfaction, and ensuring that the client is maximizing the full extent of the Prime Services product suite. The Relationship Salesperson is also tasked with driving client efficiency from both a returns and an operational perspective. The Relationship Salesperson should fully understand the strategies executed by their clients and the revenue opportunity for Citi. A successfully candidate can leverage their client relationships to enhance the client footprint within FDC as well as across Prime Services. This role will focus on Futures, OTC Clearing and FX Prime Brokerage.

Client Focus Value Add and Driving Revenue

  • Act as a senior client relationship manager for the Futures, OTC Clearing and FX Prime Brokerage (FDC) business
  • Lead structured meetings, multi-client events, single-client events, and publish detailed call reports
  • Monetize new opportunities line with the sales strategy
  • Re-originate clients under minimum revenue thresholds
  • Accountable for client profitability and revenue growth, as well as managing returns associated with the client FDC relationship.
  • Participate in structured service reviews and/or Broker Votes with follow up detail and action plans
  • Know Your Client Structure, Strategies, and Service needs.
  • Periodic client reviews to determine overall client satisfaction and coordinate the response to client evolving requirements and any concerns
  • Understand the client wallet, drive organic growth and identify cross sell opportunities

Client Efficiency and Profitability

  • Avoid revenue slippage via interest/commission monthly sanity checks
  • Educate clients on tools to manage GSIB gross-notional, UMR and RWA exposure
  • Drive client projects and initiatives that lead to increased efficiency or revenue
  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
  • Work in partnership with both the client and internal stakeholders to ensure Citi is a top 3 provider
  • Work in partnership with internal functional teams to assist with product development and platform efficiency initiatives

Protecting the Franchise

  • First line of defense to ensure that clients adhere to prescribed risk parameters, working with In Business Risk, and independent Credit Risk management coverage
  • Proactively monitor exposure to ensure clients remain within their allotted trading capacity
  • Mitigate client breaches in line with the FDC/Equities Risk management protocols
  • Partner with risk partners to create capacity to align with incremental growth
  • Escalate accordingly when faced with potential Operational and/or trading risk
  • Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe
  • Adhere to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

  • 8 years of relevant experience
  • Extensive experience of Futures, OTC clearing, and FX Prime Brokerage
  • Cross-product knowledge covering equities, fixed income and repo a plus
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the risk and control environment impacting Citi
  • Proven self-motivation and organizational skills
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Understanding of global markets, including market regulations and operational/settlement procedures
  • Prior experience in a client facing role
  • FINRA Licenses SIE, 3, 7, 63

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
