Who you are…
You have two plus years of related industry experience in sales, ideally in a similar sized resort property or hotel, specific group sales experience strongly preferred
You have strong sales acumen and have knowledge of hotel or resort features, benefits, and offerings within the competitive marketplace
Effective multi-tasking, time and project management skills; you have the ability to function well and be productive in a fast-paced environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines
You have stellar organizational skills, detail orientation and follow-through
You have excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
You ensure that all business is booked within hotel parameters and brand standards
Ability to flex schedule as needed to support business needs, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays
You are energetic, inspiring and adventurous and love to have fun while you’re at work
You enjoy going above and beyond for your team and guests
What you’ll do…
Solicit, close and contract group business using strong negotiating skills and creative selling techniques
Develop effective and measurable sales action plans and execute on the plans
Schedule and meet with potential clients by conducting site tours and communicating Tetherow service, providing accurate quotes and effectively addressing questions and concerns
Respond to all website inquires in a timely manner, maintaining a leads database and 24-hour lead follow-up
Manage and maintain client account files
Plan assigned sales events, as well as acting as on-site contact for clients
Conduct hotel site inspections, FAM trips, and client presentations
Remain abreast of industry trends and changes that may affect or enhance the offerings and/or profitability of the resort; participate in and attend industry events, programs, and trade shows
Establish rapport and maintain strong client and vendor relationships within the industry to expand repeat customer base for future business opportunities and promote the resort’s facilities and services
