Drive vegetable seed sales to wholesale customers throughout the U.S. and Canada through a hybrid inside sales and field visit approach. Leverage agricultural industry experience to build strong customer relationships, translate operational data into actionable insights, and maximize revenue growth. Ideal for sales professionals passionate about the vegetable industry with a proven track record in customer service and strategic sales execution. Accountabilities: Serve as the primary internal point of contact for wholesale customers, ensuring timely responses, providing information and solutions. Monitor and analyze bi-weekly sales reports to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for client engagement. Proactively communicate with clients to ensure expectations are met or exceeded, especially during high-volume periods or special offers. Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients through consistent and personalized communication. Collaborate closely with the Wholesale Team to align on account strategies, pricing, and promotional activities. Regularly collect and report market intelligence, and provide insights and recommendations based on product trends and customer preferences. Generate customer-level demand, ensuring that clients are knowledgeable about our products and have further interest in Syngenta products. Manage inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and digital channels. Maintain accurate customer records and sales pipeline in the CRM system. Conduct on-site customer visits to assess needs, present product solutions, and close sales. Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and agricultural events to generate leads and maintain market presence.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, or a related field. 3+ years of sales experience with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Agricultural industry experience preferred (seed, fertilizer, crop protection, equipment, etc.). Strong understanding of wholesale distribution channels. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 25% within the assigned territory. Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
