Position Overview:
The Director of Sales and Marketing leads the hotel's revenue strategy through sales planning, marketing initiatives, and business development. This role oversees corporate, group, and leisure sales, along with branding and digital marketing. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with strong hospitality sales experience and a focus on growth and client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute the hotel's sales strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to exceed revenue targets and drive market share. Set clear objectives for the sales team and ensure consistent follow-up and performance evaluation. Revenue Management: Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to maximize room and event bookings, ensuring optimal pricing and yield strategies. Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify trends and opportunities for growth. Client Relationships & Business Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and local businesses. Actively solicit new business opportunities, including group bookings, conferences, and corporate accounts. Attend industry events and networking functions to promote the hotel's offerings and strengthen brand visibility. Marketing & Brand Awareness: Work with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that attract new customers and retain existing ones. Ensure the hotel's brand and offerings are consistently represented across all sales channels. Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for senior management. Analyze competitor activity and adjust strategies to ensure the hotel remains competitive within its market. Budgeting & Cost Control: Assist in the development of the hotel's annual sales budget. Monitor sales expenses to ensure profitability and efficient use of resources. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel environment. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. Strong understanding of revenue management, pricing strategies, and market trends. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Salesforce). Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
