We are seeking a dynamic Outside Sales Representative to join our team and help us grow our customer base while strengthening existing relationships.

Position Overview

The Outside Sales Representative will grow sales and increase profitability by cultivating relationships with current customers and recruiting new ones. This role promotes our products, provides technical support, conducts customer training, and drives sales initiatives within an assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively sell and close business, always asking for the sale.
  • Understand and apply basic business analytics to customer needs.
  • Promote products, manage campaigns, and train customers with enthusiasm.
  • Present value propositions tailored to customer business situations.
  • Assist customers in differentiating from competitors and improving their sales skills.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Understand customer business models and help them develop marketing strategies.
  • Use company systems for planning, tracking history, and improving processes.
  • Prepare for meetings with clear objectives and follow a structured account planning process.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and adapt approach for different customer types.
  • Plan and prioritize daily, monthly, and annual sales activities.
  • Manage budgets and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Leverage company resources to resolve issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with inside sales, management, and other departments to meet customer needs.
  • Share best practices and market insights with the team.
  • Demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Develop deep knowledge of our product lines and industry.
  • Understand competitor products and market strategies.
  • Use Microsoft Office and related software proficiently.

Qualifications

  • Experienced in Product and application in [HVAC/plumbing/electrical/etc.]
  • Minimum 2 years in a sales-related role (3+ years preferred)
  • Wholesale distribution experience
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • High School Diploma or GED (bachelor’s degree preferred)
