Job Title: Sales Administrator Location: Houston, Texas Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $25/hr Contractor Work Model: Onsite Position Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Sales Administrator to provide critical support to our sales team in a manufacturing environment. This role will ensure the smooth processing of sales orders, quotations, and customer documentation while assisting technical sales representatives in managing day-to-day customer needs. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, process-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that bridges sales, production, and customer service. Key Responsibilities Enter, process, and track sales orders accurately in the ERP/CRM system. Prepare and distribute quotations, proposals, and order confirmations on behalf of the sales team. Maintain and update customer records, contracts, and pricing agreements. Coordinate with production, logistics, and accounting teams to ensure on-time order fulfillment and accurate invoicing. Monitor order status and proactively communicate updates or delays to customers and sales staff. Provide administrative support to technical inside sales representatives, including scheduling calls, preparing reports, and organizing sales data. Assist in compiling monthly/quarterly sales reports, forecasts, and KPIs. Support the preparation of presentations, product literature, and other customer-facing materials. Serve as a point of contact for routine customer inquiries (order status, delivery times, documentation). Help maintain CRM data integrity, ensuring opportunities and accounts are accurately updated. Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. 2+ years of administrative, sales support, or customer service experience (manufacturing/industrial environment preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with ERP and CRM systems required. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities. High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
