We are seeking a hands-on Sales Operations Manager to lead the daily operations that keep our sales organization running smoothly. This role manages our Sales Ops Coordinator and partners with Sales Leadership to ensure data accuracy, process adherence, and sales enablement. You'll own order processing, reporting and dashboards for the sales team, maintain CRM data integrity, support quoting/order workflows, and be the point person for ensuring the sales process is executed consistently.
This role sits at the center of Sales Operations. Your focus will be on execution, adoption, and day-to-day operations so that Revenue Operations can focus on strategy, architecture, and cross-functional alignment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
CRM & Data
Manage day-to-day Salesforce usage for sales: leads, contacts, opportunity stages, routing, and ownership. Uphold data hygiene: deduplication, data entry standards, and record accuracy. Maintain layouts, templates, price books, and configurators used by the sales team. Support lead assignment rules and ensure unsorted leads are assigned promptly. Reporting & Analytics Build and maintain Salesforce dashboards and reports for sales reps, segment leaders, and the Revenue Operations manager. Provide weekly reporting on pipeline health, order intake, activity, and quota attainment. Track OI vs. quota and commission inputs; ensure accuracy of sales activity reporting. Support rep-level forecasting and run pipeline reviews with segment leads and the Revenue Operations manager. Process & Workflows Maintain and enforce sales process standards (opportunity stages, close-of-sale steps, quoting handoffs). Create and manage campaign records (e.g., tradeshows, ABM accounts) and ensure proper lead/contact attribution. Ensure accurate opportunity creation for change orders, RMAs, and GPO updates. Oversee open Sales Order dashboards and ensure proper order documentation/folders are created and stored. Support workflow between CRM and ERP for order entry, updates, and costing. Enablement Own sales enablement materials in Salesforce (templates, proposal docs, product books). Train sales reps on CRM usage, quoting processes, and sales tools. Build and maintain SOPs specific to sales enablement and CRM usage. Track tool adoption and follow up with reps on usage gaps. Quoting & Order Support Support sales reps in creating and updating quotes, acknowledgements, and sales orders in CRM/ERP. Track costing on standard equipment quotes and apply discount policies. Ensure pricing compliance and GPO information is applied at time of sale. Manage RMA processing and $0 sales order creation when needed. Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with export controls: review flagged opportunities and confirm documentation Maintain audit-ready sales records (emails tied to opportunities, updated documentation in Salesforce/server). Ensure governance of templates, versioning, and policy adherence. Cross-Functional Collaboration Provide OI exports for Accounting and work with Finance on monthly reporting. Partner with Scheduling/Procurement to pull reports and track project numbers. Coordinate with RevOps on workflows and ERP integrations. Required Skills and Abilities: Extensive hands-on Salesforce experience (reporting, dashboards, opportunity/lead management). Experience with Salesforce CPQ or similar quoting tools is a plus. Familiarity with ERP systems (Global Shop or similar) is a strong plus. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and process improvement skills. Excellent communicator, trainer, and collaborator across functions. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proactive and innovative mindset. Ability to work at a computer for extended periods. Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Skilled in pipeline reporting, forecasting, and sales analytics. Prior management experience (leading a coordinator or analyst) preferred. B2B SaaS or enterprise sales experience required; life sciences or manufacturing industry background a plus. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business Administration, or related field. 4+ years in Sales Operations or related role. Experience in data governance or data quality role is preferred.
