The Sales Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of our sales team by providing administrative and operational support. This role enables sales representatives to focus on generating revenue and meeting targets. The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for managing various sales-related tasks, maintaining accurate records, and delivering exceptional customer service. Additionally, they act as a bridge between sales and other departments, facilitating communication and coordination to ensure successful sales outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Provide customer phone and email support regarding order inquiries, pre and post-sales support, account management, and product-related questions. Provide support for Sales Reps with taking, inputting, and submitting orders Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring excellent customer service and prompt issue resolution. Assist in the creation and implementation of sales strategies and campaigns. Explore upsell opportunities and follow up with existing customers to encourage additional sales. Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current, dormant, and prospective customers. Conduct inbound and outbound calls to drive new or additional sales opportunities. Compile account information and data reports for the organization and review with the sales team. Maintain and organize customer data within company CRM tools. Education and Experience Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in a sales support or administrative role, preferably within a sales or customer service environment.
Familiarity with sales processes and CRM systems.
Proficient in computer software systems including MS Office and MS Excel. Preferred Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Strong work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond to support the sales team and achieve sales targets. Ability to use critical and creative thinking to identify and resolve complex problems. Job Type: Full-Time Expected Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm Hybrid work schedule, 3 days a week in our Vernon Hills, IL office. Pay: $ per hour Comprehensive benefits package offered. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
