Come join us Position Summary: The Loan Support Specialist plays a crucial role in guiding employees through various processes. This includes addressing "how-to" inquiries, offering advanced support for loan origination systems, and resolving technical issues related to mortgage systems. The Specialist is responsible for creating procedures to optimize support resources and developing relevant documentation and tools. Serving as the primary point of contact for Loan Officers and production staff seeking help with lending activities, this position also involves collaboration with subject matter experts from Underwriting, Processing, Closing, Secondary, Compliance, IT, Marketing, and other departments to deliver effective assistance. Key Responsibilities: Provide daily loan support for all company employees via monitoring a Sales Support inbox, inbound phone calls, email and in person for all company systems and software. Provide guidance and troubleshooting assistance to Loan Officers, Loan Processors, Underwriters, and others on the usage of loan origination systems and services. Support Loan Officers and team members in locating information about loan eligibility and lending guidelines. Responsible for loan level administrative tasks within the loan origination system. Provide customer service in person, on the phone, via email, and with Microsoft Teams. Collaborate among team members daily. Assist with training new Loan Officers and Loan Officer Assistants. Offer support and troubleshooting help to employees regarding the use of loan origination systems and related services. Develop training, how to documents, and tutorials. Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience as a Loan Officer in the mortgage industry in the past 4 years. Experience using ICE Encompass. Minimum 2 years' experience providing direct support to employees or customers. Knowledge of mortgage loan origination activities, loan programs, and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of verification, credit, appraisal, fees, title, pricing, and automated underwriting services (AUS) as they relate to mortgage origination and operations. Excellent customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience utilizing Simple Nexus/nCino point of sales (POS) software, preferred. Experience in a mortgage operations role. Experience using Optimal Blue for a pricing engine. Experience using SmartFees.
