Job Description Visa is seeking a passionate, authentic, and results-oriented leader to join the Global Sales and Commercial Operations (GSCO) team as the Senior Director, Sales Data Architect & Governance . This role involves managing sales tools and data, defining, governing, and optimizing our Sales data ecosystem across Sales, Service, and Marketing segments. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and our Technical Data Architect team to design, implement, and enforce data standards aligned with enterprise priorities. The ideal candidate is a self-directed, highly technical leader experienced with modern data tools and techniques, with proven leadership skills and the ability to build networks across Sales, Technology, and the broader organization. This leadership role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs, identify improvements, and execute a roadmap to develop a world-class data function. Responsibilities Translate sales vision into a world-class data architecture, including data stewardship across Sales tools and platforms. Serve as Data Steward, ensuring data quality, integrity, and governance through policies and monitoring. Work with the Technical Data Architecture team to design data models, integration flows, and pipelines as single sources of truth. Evaluate and implement tooling for data governance and stewardship. Guide business users on data entry, usage, and definitions to ensure consistency. Partner with data scientists and stakeholders to design scalable data pipelines and monitor performance. Implement and oversee customer data governance policies for data integrity and compliance. Identify process improvements and develop SOPs to enhance data management efficiency.
This position is hybrid, with in-office days to be confirmed by your manager. Qualifications At least 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 10+ years with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 5+ years with a PhD. Experience with data-oriented thinking and a background in STEM fields. Over 10 years as a data engineer supporting business verticals, with a passion for analytics and solving complex data problems. Proven expertise with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP CRM) and integration technologies. Experience in multi-stakeholder initiatives focused on customer experience improvements. Strong collaboration skills in a global, matrixed environment. Ability to lead cross-organizational teams and communicate complex technical information clearly. Proactive, inquisitive, and a team player.
Additional Information Work Hours: Varies based on department needs. Travel Requirements: 5-10% travel expected.
