About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Sales Strategy and Development in the US. The successful candidate will be the lead executive for licensing strategy, analytics, and sales support across all US licensing activities. This role requires a deep understanding of macroeconomic trends, subscriber growth, viewing trends, the competitive landscape, and new technologies to optimize licensing across various media platforms. The VP will also be responsible for structuring multi-year volume deals, providing market pricing analysis, and maintaining communication with local sales executives. The position demands a strategic thinker with the ability to run complex financial models, benchmark deal terms, and promote best practices. The VP will be expected to work closely with the larger Sales Strategy and Development team, as well as with business, and legal affairs, and to support the central team in deal negotiations.
Candidates for this role at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree strongly preferred, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, strategic planning, or financial analysis within the entertainment industry. Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are essential, as is a strong background in financial modeling and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with content licensing and/or channel carriage agreements, and possess excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. The role requires a self-motivated leader who can work both independently and as part of a team, and who is comfortable in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
