Marriott Dallas Las Colinas is a full-service hotel overlooking Lake Carolyn in the heart of Irving's Las Colinas district. We offer 350 guestrooms and more than 17,000 sq. ft. of event space , minutes from DFW International Airport and Downtown Dallas. We welcome corporate groups, conventions, leisure travelers, and associations.
We are looking for a Director of Sales to lead our sales team and grow group, corporate, and catering business.
What You'll Do Lead the Sales Team Manage Sales, Event Sales, and Catering staff. Coach, set goals, and build a high-performance culture. Grow Revenue Create sales plans to meet and exceed budget goals. Target group, association, and corporate accounts in key markets. Work with Revenue Management to set pricing and manage inventory. Meet Performance Goals Exceed 105% of group room revenue budget YOY. Grow banquet and catering revenue by 12% YOY. Maintain RevPAR Index of 110+ against competitors. Secure at least 2 new accounts each quarter worth $100K+ annually. Close 85% of tentative bookings within 30 days. Keep group pickup within 10% of contract for 80%+ of groups. Develop New Business Keep a pipeline of 50+ qualified accounts. Make 30 outside sales calls each month with site visits and client events. Attend 6+ tradeshows or networking events each year. Use Marriott Bonvoy partnerships to grow loyalty bookings. Report and Stay Accountable Deliver weekly sales pace and forecast reports. Track lost business and recover where possible. Share results during quarterly business reviews. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Hospitality, or related). 5+ years in hotel sales leadership (Director or Associate Director). Record of exceeding group and catering sales goals. Experience in a full-service or upper-upscale hotel. Knowledge of Marriott systems (CI/TY, OneSource, GXP) preferred. Strong contract negotiation and closing skills. Network in Dallas/Fort Worth corporate and association markets a plus.
