About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Sales to spearhead the development and execution of a strategic plan aimed at achieving sales targets and expanding the customer base. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading a diverse team of sales and marketing professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, and ensuring a team-based setting. A key aspect of the role is to build and lead marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness and generate leads. The VP of Sales will also be tasked with managing the company's P&L, financials, forecasting, and budgeting, as well as working cross-functionally to support the sales process.
This role requires a leader who can build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, partner with customers to understand their business needs, and effectively communicate the value proposition. The VP of Sales will be expected to report on sales activity and forecasts to senior management, identify emerging markets and market shifts, and stay abreast of new products and competition. A deep understanding of category-specific landscapes and trends in the life science industry is essential, as is the ability to build and lead a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive results in a dynamic and competitive market.
