As a Temporary Seasonal Sales Team Member, your primary goal is to provide an outstanding shopping experience for every customer, following the Kirklands Home customer service model. You will assist in various operational and merchandising tasks by partnering with the management team. This role is pivotal in driving sales growth, and you'll be expected to flex into different roles, from selling and cashiering to replenishing and maintaining the store's cleanliness. Meeting customer needs always comes first, no matter the task at hand. Key Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional customer service in-store and online. Engage actively with customers and demonstrate outstanding selling techniques. Welcome every customer with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Anticipate customer needs and respond effectively to their cues. Inform customers about loyalty programs, current promotions, and available merchandise to enhance their shopping experience. Uphold the company's branding standards by treating all customers and co-workers with respect and professionalism. Meet or exceed goals related to company initiatives and programs. Assist in receiving merchandise promptly and efficiently. Help maintain a tidy and organized sales floor and stockroom. Ensure merchandise presentation is accurate, well-priced, and appropriately stocked. Qualifications: Energetic and results-driven, with a competitive spirit. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Willingness to work on weekends, holidays, and in the evenings. Ability to read and understand company regulations and guidelines. Flexible scheduling to meet store business needs. Capable of working independently as well as part of a dynamic team. Must be able to use a ladder for stocking and retrieving products. Ability to frequently retrieve and handle merchandise with ease. Strong commitment to customer interaction and assistance. Physical capability to lift and move merchandise weighing 50 pounds or more between stock rooms and the sales floor. Proficient in operating Point of Sale systems, registers, and handheld devices.
