The Assistant Manager (AM) serves as the operational leader of the restaurant, concentrating on profitability, guest satisfaction, team development, and effective operations management. As an AM, you will work alongside the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) to oversee the daily functions of a single restaurant, ensuring high performance across all areas. You will manage a team of Hourly Shift Coordinators and Team Members, ranging from 20 to 45 employees. Key Responsibilities: Profitability: Monitor inventory costs and conduct regular inventory assessments (daily, weekly, monthly). Manage inventory orders and receipts. Keep an updated list of all restaurant assets and ensure their maintenance. Oversee preventative maintenance of facilities and equipment as per company standards, coordinating with external vendors as necessary. Adhere to all cash control and security measures, including safe handling and cash drawer management. Guest Experience: Inspire and guide team members to deliver superior guest experiences with quick, friendly service in a clean environment. People Development: Provide coaching and constructive feedback to Shift Coordinators and Team Members to enhance team skills and overall restaurant performance. Operations Management: Guide the restaurant team in the timely and accurate preparation and delivery of products, ensuring established service speed is met. Ensure adherence to operational and brand standards within the restaurant. *Step in as an Hourly Shift Coordinator as needed. Qualifications: Must be at least eighteen (18) years old. High School Diploma or GED is required; 2 years of college education is preferred. 1-2 years of experience in a quick service restaurant setting; management experience is a plus. Basic understanding of P&L statement interpretation and management for profitability influence. Proven leadership skills and understanding of guest service principles. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Willingness to work long and/or irregular shifts as required for the efficient functioning of the restaurant.
